I love the HERX chart and have printed it for charting purposes. http://www.carouselcharts.com/JHR_tracking1.pdf
I would love to input the data onto my computer and chart it. I think charting it on the computer would make it easier for me to track the herx's and allow me to determine IP, a pulsing schedule for meds and track my progress. I was not able to copy the chart to Excel. I know I could make my own chart in excel, but since I don't know what I'm doing, it would be time consuming.
Does anyone have an idea how to allow me to input data onto the herx chart via my computer? Has anyone made their own program to chart herx using the herx chart?
Thanks
Cathy

I started MP Jul 7. How do I change the topic to reflect this in my questions thread?
Thanks,
Cathy

Cathy,
Glad you enjoyed the printable chart.
Yes, do the computer spreadsheet so you can crunch the numbers for your benefit. For online, I suggest you flip the column/row orientation used on the written chart (orientation worked to give enough room to comfortably write symptoms down the left side).
Symptoms along the top in an online db/spreadsheet alows for easier 1 day is 1 row data entry.

Thanks Janet for the spreadsheet idea. Since the time I posted that question, my parents developed an Excel program for me to chart my progress. It's great! It even maps my journey.
Janet, I appreciate you telling me that the study site is closed to new members. I sent an application a while ago hoping for an invitation to join the study. I hope it is still on file. My doctor says she is a member of the professional site but doesn't dialog.
Thank you to the person who updated my topic for this question thread.

Hi Cathy,
Wanted to know how you are doing on the MP? I hope to start soon even tho I am not a member. I feel I need to know all about the MP as my doctor will prescribe the medication, I am not sure he fully understands the program.
My sarcoid is in the chest lymph nodes which leaves me with a sore chest and lots of weakness plus a backache when I stand to cook. If I pamper myself, I feel fairly well, but I have things I want to do like exercise, trips, etc.
Sorry, we missed the MP cutoff, but will try to make this work.

Chris,
I’m doing well and progressing as expected on MP. I have found others experiences have been essential to my progress. The MP site is full of valuable information that has supported me in my journey to good health.
Question for the moderators:
I’ve been a member of the MP site since Nov 2007 and have sent an application to be part of the study cohort. I am able to read but not post in the phase 1 forums which has proven to be a valuable part of my MP progress. Phase 2 is approaching for me, will I be able to benefit from the wealth of information in the phase 2/3 forums as well?
Cathy

Hi Cathy,
At this time, to my knowledge, as you progress into phase 2 you will not have access to the phase 2/3 forums - you will have to rely on your supportive Doctor and the phase 2 guidelines - as well as any general questions here.
I read above your Doctor is a member of the professionals' forum - that is a great thing and s/he will have access to any info as well as be able to ask questions on your behalf if s/he is unsure of anything.
Having the ABC of the MP book marked is always a valuable resource too.
Take care and best of luck,
Natalie

Hi Cathy,
Thanks for your reply. How long do you estimate your phase 1 to last?
Anything in Phase 1 that you felt surprised by? Did you feel better immediately or just about status quo? I realize that this is all an individual thing and we all react differently. Just wanted to be as prepared as possible when I start the MP.
Thanks.

Hi Chris,
The best way you can prepare youself for MP is to study the site. There is a wealth of information. There was answers to just about all of my questions. The site is full of info about ph1, like how long to stay in ph1. I was suprised to be part of the 25% who experience symptom relief taking benicar. It is individual.
You will find your way.
best of luck,
Cathy
