Thanks... preesh that
got it worked out. So you can split the capsules of minocycline?
I guess just measure the powder?
Benicar has really backed off a lot of inflammation rather quickly..I feel suprisingly
close to normal.....and that is great but I really want to kill this stuff.
You really get motivated to lower 1,25 d after reading so much of the literature....
and even more so motivated to CLEAN HOUSE!
I am not looking forward to feeling bad again[when I start mino], but this time I am gonna have a smile on my face![even if thru clinched teeth]

How do I divide the minocycline when the capsules only come in 50mg? CAUTION: Please be sure to be measuring the dose carefully, shaking the FULL contents of the capsule right out to divide accurately..
We recommend extra caution and special attention to detail if you have any level of brain fog or memory impairment. It's important to use a medication dosette and reliable alarm system. If necessary ask for support from a reliable family member when dividing, setting out and or taking meds.

Has there been any more research on the safety of Provigil and how it works in the body?
Some previous research indicated it may have neuro-protective properties,
Most days I cannot wake up without it, is it safe to use with MP?
Are there safe alternatives?

I seem to do better with Benicar every 4 hours/ have some occasional light exposure.
Is this safe?

I started taking Benicar a few days ago, it seemed to make me feel better as I mentioned earlier.
Now I feel like I have lead in my body.....thinking has become very difficult.
It is like you want to be awake but you can only focus for so long before succumbing to fatigue
I have 20,000 dollars worth of jobs people want to book and I cant even fathom talking to them.
Does Benicar hit you hard in the first week or so until you get adjusted, or is this a sign that I'm not going to be functional any time soon?

Just wanted to say that Benicar has turned out to be an amazing drug,
for me,after some initial tough adjustments, now Benicar is functioning with sound predictability.
If I began to suffer a rise in symptoms, usually due to a rise in 1,25 D I am sure,
or a food/chemical reaction,
increasing it brings down the inflammation...faster if I sublingual it.
This gives great confidence that I will tolerate mino and be able to adjust as needed.
I am not trying to avoid herx, but it is wonderful that what is explained about Benicar is right on target.
Trevor, I see a peace prize in your future.

| I recently read that minocycline has been shown inhibit microglial activation in the CNS, is this why some people feel better on minocycline?

I was wondering if any one could tell me if Ativan is problematic in occasional low dose on M.P......1.5 mg on really bad days.
It is what my doctoer has me on, I noticed it allevates my Neuropathy and brain fatigue.
I don't want to poison myself with this stuff and definately don't want to get addicted.
I just don't know that much about it, is Valium safer?

Many seem to prefer low dose brand name Valium, but some have done OK with low doses of Ativan. I used higher doses of generic Valium on occasion and progressed to needing none. With any [size=benzodiazepine ]class drug, one wants to try and avoid daily use if possible.

I am a bit confused about Testosterone,
I read that it is responsible in part for DNA transcription of anti microbial peptides but supplementation is not recommended on M.P.
My doctor ordered me some because I am low.......but I don't know what to do or what the risk are.
Any answers for this?
Sean

"I do not recommend testosterone replacement. One can expect "free" levels to return to normal in time as your hormonal system rights itself with MP treatment. The hormonal system is so intricate that often times giving exogenous "replacement" causes suppression of endogenous production and causes dependence on a drug instead of letting your own body regulate itself and produce its own natural hormones. Drugs can never hope to equal the bodies ability to regulate itself. Only in a more dire situation would replacement be indicated in my opinion."

I am having terrible times with my wife.....she totally thinks MP is a falsehood.
I know without a doubt that it is not.
She has really never accepted any thing concerning all of the illness that I have had over the last 8 years since I have known her. When we got married I wasnt going through such bad symptoms because I was suppressing my immune system with drugs.
She has watched me try cures for so long she has just given up...if she would just look at the MP she would make sense of it all, but she has closed her mind.
It is very hard to go through this as it is, but this adds SO much more stress to the process.
What do you do when a family member/spouse, out of their own chosen ignorance, cannot accept you on this protocol and does not want anything to do with it in your household?
Is there any thing on the MP that addresses this?
Sorry for being so personal....it is just hard enough dealing with the illness and the MP herxes besides living with someone who thinks your selfish and crazy for trying to do a curative therapy.

Sean,
No! Please 'read, mark, learn and inwardly digest' the Phase 1 guidelines, especially 'step 8' on page 8. Take care
It's normal to have a two-day herx pattern in phase 1.
