I am praying that I am accpeted to the study site so I am going to practice the suggested reporting format.

MP meds  40 mg TR Olmesartan  q6h   6 12 6 11   first day

Non MP meds  none

Natural light exposure  none

Symptoms  lower back pain,  arms aching,  fatigue,  painful/stiff neck (all tolerable)

I started the MP today.  I took my first olmesartan at 6 am, my windows are all covered, I have checked light levels with my light meter and I am wearing my NOIRs while on  the computer.  I find the low light levels soothing.

I spent the weekend clearing up loose ends and doing some of the things I like to do in the summer before I am sequestered: I went to the beach with my family for fish and chips, I went to the zoo with friends and I drove my daughters sports car with the top down.

I  have spent my whole life fighting to keep going and participate in life.  I am always having to decide if I can push through and keep going or is it too, too much and ok to take a break and stay home.  It is always so draining.  For today I don't have to make that decision.  I am feeling relieved.

Maureen,
Even "practicing" on this site is not a great idea, as the purpose for the study site and the purpose for this site are distinctly different. Some might confuse what can be done on this board if this is allowed.

I would suggest you keep an accurate journal and/or log of your dose schedule and responses so you can discuss this with your medical team. Keeping track allows you to capture the big picture patterns over time, something that might be missed in day to day linear posts.

It is most important to keep track of your details so you can relate them accurately to your doctor. Some have found these forms to be helpful, others make their own spreadsheet or use simple graph paper, but these forms may be helpful as you determine what you want to report to your doctor:

Downloadable MP Documents, Phase 1

Everyone who believes they are doing the MP, regardless of their status on the study site, should encourage their doctor to actively participate in the Private Section for Health Professionals. This is where medical professionals can ask specific questions about those they are treating with the Marshall Protocol.
  • Reporting accurately to their doctor is important.
  • Knowing the Marshall Protocol study site information is important.
  • Expecting their doctor to participate in the study site is important.
If anyone has general questions they cannot find answers to on the study site, they can ask on their own thread on this site (CureMy).

Glad to see you have started the journey to get well--Janet

Janet,  Thank you for your response.   I will use the suggested form to keep track of my doses and responses.

I have been on Olmesartan for 1 week.  I have not had any IP.  I started 25 mg mino today.  I have stayed inside in 30 lux house.  I have been enjoying the relaxation.  I am continuing to read about the MP.

Marueensew,
Something to read and discuss with your doctor:

How does Benicar work?

How long should I stay on Benicar? Why don't I feel better? When should I start minocycline?

Expect hormonal adjusting as the Benicar blockade dramatically reduces 1,25-D. See Hormonal changes resulting from changes in 1,25D-hydroxyvitamin-D.

There is temptation to bang like a bullet through phase 1. But it's a good time to take things at a rational pace and find out about what immunopathology means in your body, and how to manage things. You will want to report to your doctor if you are not a member on the study site.

Health Professionals are welcome
I do hope your doctor is paying close attention to you during phase 1 if you are not a member of the study site. If I wasn't a member there, I'd certainly expect my doctor to be a member, and I'd demand a lot of interaction with my doctor during the first initial start time of Benicar only and Benicar w/ph1 antibiotics to help me understand what to expect and what to notice about immunopathology during this important learning part of the journey.

This essential learning time can be a foundation of correct information for the rest of the journey if done correctly, so please read all information sets carefully and stay in close touch with your doctor if you are not a member of the study site.

Please remember not post your medications or doses on this site, as this is not the place to report or discuss these issues. However, this is your place to ask general questions about the MP.

Thank you for remembering!--Janet

Thank you Janet.  Sorry about the inappropriate comments.   My doctor has agreed to join the professional site so I will see her.

Blessings!   Maureen:cool:

I am going to see my doctor Wed. to give her a progress report so she can post on the pro site.

Will my signature line appear when she posts my report?

Does she need to use my login name?

Is there anything else I need to tell her in order to post for me?

Blessings!   Maureen:cool:

I don't have any questions.  I just feel the need to reach out for some support.  I am progressing through phase 1.   I have found all the guidelines very helpful to follow and the forum gives me lots of information.  I have been able to find answers to any questions I have by searching the site.

I have determined that I definitely have light sensitive eyes so I use the NOIRs with TV, computer and bright overhead lights.  I am home from work until Sept so I am staying inside with only outings to doctor and a few hours/week for family committments.    I am following all the suggestions I have read and finding the IP to be tolerable.  I have experimented with med changes to see what will dampen symptoms and I have started to put together my own personal tool kit.

Blessings to everyone!    Maureen:cool:

Hi Maureen,

Thanks for looking in.  Sorry your previous post seems to have been overlooked - if that happens, just reply to it yourself with the word 'bump' to bump it up to the top of the list again so someone sees it.

Thank you for doing your own searches :):), let us know if there's anything you can't find.  It sounds as if you're managing Phase 1 well, and learning how your body responds.  Indoor light sensitivity may change through the phases, and for me was one of the first things to normalise.

Happy herxing!

Julia
