Okay thanks for the replies.
My doctor is registering at the study site but I am still waiting for her to prescribe me the phase 2 antibiotics. I dont know how long this is going to take but if its too much longer Im going to try and find a new doctor.
Also something that has been bothering me lately:
I had been taking votum for most of my time on the MP, and now have switched to olmetec. For some reason all my headaches have seemed to come back as soon as I did this. Sunlight exposure/antibiotic dose/vit-d intake has not changed...

Head,
In theory there shouldn't be any difference between Votum and Olmetec, but please check The right kind of Benicar.

wow my energy the last week has been phenominal. almost would go as far as saying im not fatigued at all. probably 90% recovered in that respect. My thinking has also been crystal clear as of late. I no longer feel like hell in the mornings as well. My appetite and libido have dramatically improved. My only major symptom remaining is my sore throat and a bit of post excertional fatigue.
I think its been like 8 weeks since Ive been on phase one, and I am really struggling to find a doctor that will help me get started on phase 2. Im no longer seeing my old doctor, if shes not going to help me with a process that is clearly making me better than I no longer have a use for her! Ive made 5 appointments with different docs this week so hopefully it will happen.
Just a few more questions:
I work a very stressfull job for 3-4 hours a day (increased heart rate, adrenalin etc), is this going to hinder my progress too much?
In the past 3-4 weeks to date, I have not even been herxing that much, its very hard for me to pinpoint to the hour like I see some people here doing, just seem to be getting better? Also can I assume that this will continue in phase 2
Thanks

Head,
Great to hear of your progress
I work a very stressfull job for 3-4 hours a day (increased heart rate, adrenalin etc), is this going to hinder my progress too much?
Your immune system needs all the help it can get to fight your disease. That means sleep, rest, good food, fresh air, moderate exercise... all the things you were told were good for you when you were little ... with the addition, now, of sun avoidance, vitamin D avoidance, and the MP meds. It does not need stress, but some of course is unavoidable. If there's any way you could possibly reduce your stress, go for it; if not, we'll just have to hope your current good progress continues.
In the past 3-4 weeks to date, I have not even been herxing that much, its very hard for me to pinpoint to the hour like I see some people here doing, just seem to be getting better?
I had that in phase 1 as well - everyone's different. Phase 2 may give you more to complain about
can I assume that this will continue in phase 2
No!

Head,
I might suggest visiting the office staff of different doctor's offices and using phone calls and a few well-chosen documents (like the phase 1 guidelines, your D metabolites test results and a cover letter) to help weed out doctors at a quicker rate than waiting for appointments.
I also used a fax machine to send just a letter stating my goal to do the MP, then called office staff to make sure it got to the desk of my current doctor, and then followed up until I was assured he had read it and would entertain the idea of discussing the MP with me, with my willingness to sign off liability.
You probably do not want to exceed the time limits of your current scripts.
Best to you Head--Janet

well
its illegal for nz doctors to prescribe the phase to antibiotic unless the patient has a bacterial infection. and because cfs isnt recognised as bacterial no doctor will prescribe it to me.
game over..........

Head,
What is the basic definition of Th1 inflammation?
Which diagnostic tests do I need?
Will the Marshall Protocol treat co-infections?
Best to you Head--Janet

Head,
I've contacted one of our MP veterans who has done the MP in NZ to see if he has any insights. Don't give up hope.

Note from Admin: ---- Sally, we have a rule here that until you have had personal experience of the MP into (at least) phase 2, you do not pretend to offer advice to anybody. Please let the Advocates do their job without them having to additionally let you know where you are going wrong---

taking a break from the mp over the weekend. going to start phase II on monday.
I really didnt think I was herxing a lot because I was feeling so much better on the MP, but after stoping mino I can safely say I was herxing. Lymph nodes, gut, and chills are my main symptoms from herx. I feel absolutely remarkable today, only a hint of a sorethroat. Energy is completely normal. Cant wait to start phase II, I really want to become as healthy as my body will let me.
Anyways, I had one or two questions about phase II that I would like to hear opinions on from someone with personal experience. I dont want to start a phase II discussion in this public thread, can I PM any phase II members or advocates?
Thanks

Head,
When you say you're taking a break, I hope you don't mean you're stopping Benicar. It takes a while to build up the Benicar 'blockade', and it must be kept up. If you stop, you must go back on Benicar alone for a few days before you start in to phase 2.
Your doctor should be able to print you out the Phase 2 guidelines and introduction. If you want to ask questions here, you can refer to 'the phase 2 abx', but for medical questions your doc should really ask in the Professionals' Forum.
Please take care adding the phase 2 abx, this is where a lot of folks try to go too fast - think nothing's happening, then it kicks in a week or a few weeks later .
