So I have been reading a lot. Going over things in my head about the MP. So I will start off with a litttle bit of backround.
I am 33 yrs old, and really have not every been diagnosed with any "disease." I haven't been prescribed ANY medication in my life, except when I was very young(ritalin). And that didn't really last very long. Besides a run in with a few car accidents and a weeks worth of bronchitis, I don't take pills. Don't use creams, take vitamins, nothing.
Recently I have developed, from what I can tell is the only thing that leads me to beleive I have TH1. Psoriosis. Started about 6 months ago. Small spot on my scalp. Since has turned into a 2"x 2" spot and a couple of other dime size spots on my head. All covered by my hair. A small quarter size spot on my belly next to my belly button.
My mother is on the MP, she is sick but recovering. I have gotten my D1,25 and D-25 checked. The results should be back in a few days.
I don't think I need the results of the test to know what is going on, but if it is caught this early are the any advantages? I know that you can't tell how much TH1 has progressed but I see many people on the MP site that are way sicker than I am.
Is there anyone that has not had much photosensitivity?
I have to work and could make arrangements to help my situation, but how do most of you that work cope with light? I work in a hospital so it is all flouresent light.
I know I have more questions but wanted to stick my head in and say Hi.

Chris,
Welcome!!!
I will allow members with psoriosis and who work to answer those questions.
I wanted to say that I think that you will be years ahead of your disease, and will come out of this in much better shape than if you had waited. It should be easier for you done now. I have been talking up that the MP should be used as a "preventative" treatment as well as a "curative" treatment. Why wait until you are so incapacitated and with organ damage before starting the MP?
I am glad to see you starting early!!! I wish that I had been so lucky!!!
Wishing you, and all, wellness!!!

Hi Chris,
My son {posted as Son} now 25 yrs old. Had Psoriosis for 2 yrs and was well. Started on his lower legs and continue up his body. When he started MP 1/3 of his legs below his knees were red raw and spots etc else where. Within 3 days of starting MP the spot on his ears cleared and it receded. Within 12mths 99.99 % gone and he stopped MP. He lived in a cave at his home, and gave up cricket for a season and no swimming. He wore long sleeves, pants, hat and Noir glasses outside most times, and avoided direct sun at least for the first few months. In his diet he avoid some D foods prehaps 70%. He never made any changes to his work place in the office and never wore hat and glasses at work. His IP was minimal eg mild headache, a bit dizzy when jumping around. He never missed any work or many other social events. ........Grace
......Now if only CFS could have been so easy

Grace,
Why did your son stop the MP, or did he complete the whole thing?
I have not read into how long Phase 2 of 3 is as I thought it was dependent on herx.
I want to get rid of what I have, not just get rid of the symptoms. I am glad to here that it may have gone that quickly for him.

Excactly, If it wasn't for other members I know on the MP Than I would probably be going down the road that all the other doctors are pointing there patients.
Another question I have and may not be answered by many here is:
I work with low level radiation at work. Gamma 140 KeV. Does this effect anything while being on the MP?

Cpass,
I wouldn't think anymore than if you were flying in a jet airplane on a regular basis. Those thin aluminum skins don't do much in shielding. But then I am not a radiation expert, just a retired airline captain. We do what we need to do!
Wishing you, and all, wellness!!!

Cpass, to the best of our current knowledge, any effects of that low level radiation on your immune systemwould be offset by the Benicar.

Cpass,
Son got to PH3, and was there for a good few months. In 6 mths his skin was really good, other then scaring, which he no longer has. Benicar was expensive here in australia then, and he wanted to get back to cricket and etc . If you look really carefully now and again you may find one spot, smaller then 5mm, but he is happy to live with that. He has been off MP for over 18mths now. He knows he can go back to MP at any time he wants .......Grace
