Hi, new to the forum and am 50 year old female in good shape and takes care of myself.  Was dx in early 90's with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and 2007 with Lymphocytic Colitis and have many symptoms of MS.  I am on no thyroid meds even though I was told in 90's that I would eventually be hypothyroid.  My lab tests are normal although I had low D and put on D supplements.  One month I feel great one month I feel bad.  I'm having upper GI problems that wake me up at night and all day and now I read there is autoimmune (lymphocytic gastritis).  GEEZE... Am I going to get lymphocytic cancer?  It is so frustrating because other than my now GI problems with fatigue, my symptoms are vague and all over the place but not severe enough to complain about.  I've decided to stay off gluten. Why isn't there an immune specialist or clinic?  Any help appreciated! Thanks, pam

Hi Pam and welcome to the MP.  For starters, here is a link to the Marshall Protocol Knowledge Base:  http://mpkb.org/

Near the end of the page is another link that is our Site Map.  I am sure you will be amazed at all the information to explore here:  http://mpkb.org/home/index#site_map

There are others with diagnosed Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in the Marshall Protocol Cohort.  The MP is working for them.

There are those who have entered the MP with Cancer.  No one in the MP cohort has gotten Cancer that I know of.  Maybe others can comment on this too.   I have been reading peoples Progress reports for a couple of years now and I believe Cancer has not developed in anyone who is practicing the MP.

We are about the same age and my Thyroid was not working for 10 years pre MP.  I was taking Thyroid Medication for those 10 years.  I no longer need Thyroid medication.  My tests are perfect now. :D  It didn't take long for me to get my Thyroid working with the help of Benicar and the MP.  Only a couple of months.

Colitis is common in Th1 infections.  L-form Bacteria can infect every organ and tissue of our bodies.  The digestive system is a very large organ.  It only makes sense that pathogenic bacteria would congregate there.

The MP addresses all of this including Fatigue that you wrote of.  I hope you study hard, learn this protocol and join in getting healthy.

Here is the link to the Autoimmunity Research Foundation.  It is our solid foundation underneath the Marshall Protocol with cutting edge research in progress.  The Autoimmunity Research Foundation is the closest thing to a specialist that I believe you are going to find anywhere.   http://autoimmunityresearch.org/

I hope to see you in the Forums,  :D Taryn

Thank you soooo much.  Looks like I'll be busy for quite some time! lol... I hope I can bother you with some questions after reading all the research.  I want to stay healthy and if I can help my immune system now I want to be proactive.  One month I feel great the next month terrible.  Hopefully, with your website I can get some answers.  I was going to get a h-pyloric blood test but they want to schedule me for an endoscopy so I thought I would wait for that...I was reading that ALL epigastric/reflux/pain is thought to be from parasites.  (r/o serious problems first of course) Funny that I did buy Purify from The Life Tree that is a Para-cleanse.  It has all kinds of herbs to get rid of parasites.  It doesn't make me feel well GI wise so maybe that is because I have bugs...who knows. Again, thanks...pam

Hi Pam,  As much as we encourage your studying, you can still ask questions anytime.  I studied the MP for a year before I got "on it".   There is so much good information, I don't think I will ever learn it all.  Now I am on the MP, getting healthier and learning all at the same time.

Keep learning.  Ask all of your questions here in this spot, by clicking the reply button to the right of your last question?  It helps us keep organized and keep tract of your questions, health, requests, etc.

Up top is another link for you.  Keep up the good reading, Taryn :D

I was dx with chronic fatigue/fibro in 94. Have had a bad run since about 2004 have not worked ect quit a lot of meds(including but not limited to antidepressants to treat the fibro) had a lot of infections and antibiotics before and after this date.
I recently have a thyroid issue. Previously had low d as it was tested after a broken foot.... I can't take it as it causes insomnia and anxiety. Seen an endo who said it was impossible for D to cause these symptoms. I don't take it tho she still says I need to. I can't won't.
In the last few years I have had all the old problems and a few that were not as apparent before red in the whites of my eyes.. especially after a shower which wipes me out If I shower I have to go to bed and rest after. And lumps all over my body mostly under breast in breast neck underarm ribs groin thigh calf back ankle mostly on the right side.
I seen an rehumatologist a few wks ago unfortunately it was after the first day of a two day radium iodine scan I had not slept in two days and I was off the wall... it did not go well he said I did not need any further testing suggested I was fine as far as I know.
There are times I cannot direct my own care. Having issues with doctors is not new to me but at times I am just not up to it.
Like the first poster I have times where I am ok and times I am not the thyroid comes back up and down and I am on no treatment and going back to ask to have thyroid antibodies checked... I had a nodule on the ultra sound that was not found on the radium scan. All the thyroid stuff is new to me but I do know my IgG is low... so far cannot join the dots. I have been watching this board off and on for about year think I am ready to jump in. Is it best to wait and get a dx first as I think this is not just cf or fibro. Any suggestions would be of help to me... I feel confused about this just now.

Hello Susan, and welcome.

Susan, we need you to start your own thread.  Copy the content of your post in Kayak's thread, then go to the top of this or any thread, and just above the green bar, click on the yellow **Ask your Questions in Here**, tho opening it in a new window might help to follow my instructions in Kayak's thread.  Then click on the 'New Topic' button, just under the right side of the green bar in the 'Ask your Questions' window.  Paste your posted material into the large box.  Then, in the subject line, call it 'Susan's Questions (susan55)', and in the description, put your diagnoses, and any major symptoms.  Then click on send, bottom right.

We will then answer your post in your thread.

Cynthia

Hi,
Well I had an endoscopy and they found barretts esophagitis and a stomach polyp. No evidence of Hpylori. Also had a thyroid ultrasound and they found 7 thyroid nodules and went to MD Anderson which thankfully not cancerous. They dx me with multisystem autoimmune dysfunction. For many years starting with Hashimoto's and Lymphocytic Colitis and now all this...
Well, interestingly, the top endocrine surgeon recommended the paleolithic diet for my autoimmune disorder which I have been following for 4 months. Well, guess what? I feel great... I am no longer fatiqued which was my biggest complaint. The proof will be in the pudding when I repeat my endoscopy, colonoscopy, and thyroid ultrasound. So, just wanted to pass this along.
