I am currently in phase II of the MP at the maximum antibiotic dosage and am a 54 year old male.  During phase II my gray hair is being slowly being replaced by dark hair (on my head, eyebrows and chest).  I began to get gray hair when I was 21 years old.  Then when I was 30 years old I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease.

I have heard of those on the protocol experiencing a reversal of periodontal disease.  This has happened to me as well.  However, I've never heard of anyone on the protocol loosing their gray hair.  Is anyone else on the protocol loosing their gray hair?

Ken,
Hair growth is closely related to the VDR and 1,25-D.

Expect improvements to both hair and skin tone as you heal on the MP.

Oh - and the retinal proteins transcribed by the VDR should help return your eyesight as well...

Ken,

Quite interesting ...

Just today, my wife was giving me a hair-cut/buzz and swore that she needed to start counting the hairs on my head because there were more than there used to be.   I thought she was teasing me, but maybe not ....

I can actually see more new growth of hair along the hairline where I lost it due to stress following the suicide of a close relative years back.  I keep suspecting that they grey is disappearing, but I'm holding out an opinion about that for a year or more from now.  Can't wait to regain the eyesight that I lost virtually in the course of a matter of days when my Th1 began worsening at a rapid pace!  Claire

From Amy's interview of Sue Andorn:

"I have very little grey hair and the new hair that is growing in is black rather than grey."

Ken,

See Jigsaw in phase 1 HAVE OTHERS HAD WHITE HAIR GO DARK? for an interesting explanation of hair colour change.
