Hi ,

I have been struggling with bipolar symptoms for 20+ years, cycling from hypomania to severe depressive episodes lasting 6-8 months.  Mediations have not had any effect on the depression and fatigue.  I have recently had tests that were positive for ANA antibodies suggestive of Autoimmune and a positive ASO titer 160:1 suggesting Strep.  I have seen that Bipolar, mania and depression have been listed as being helped by this protocol.  Will the protocol deal with the Strep as well as the CWDB?  I have just done a Porphyrin toxicity test to see if Mercury toxicity is present.  I am waiting on the results.  Are there contra-indications to chelating mercury at the same time as MP antibiotics and ARB or would you suggest I do the MP only.  I have read that you should not use other medications or add any other treatment protocols.  I have an appointment to get the Vit D levels checked before I start.  I have a open minded medical doctor that I believe will try to help.  I will write again after I get the test results back on the D levels and mercury.

Also have you continued to see others with Bipolar improve with MP.  I'm in my 8th month of depression so I usually come out of it for a period of time.  I do not relish the thought of starting this protocol and experiencing more depression time, but I really need to recover from this illness and quit the cycling.  It has ruined my life for the most part.  I look forward to any help I can get.  Also an others who have had success with bipolar recovery I would be grateful to hear from you.

Thanks for your help.

Mike

Mike,

Welcome!!!

I will leave some of your questions to others with more knowledge or experience along those lines.

I would strongly suggest that you do the D-tests to see if you do have the Th1 inflammation.   It seems that there are no other viable options for you condition.  I have a family member with bipolar, and have thought about this previous to now.

I would strongly suggest that you do the D testing with Quest Diagnostic Lab as they have shown to be the most reliable on their results.   The 125D hormone is a  very delicate product.  Their procedure code for the double test is # 5678.

Report your results here  Preliminary test results (for Comment)   You will need to be Registered for the other 'study' site, also, to so report.  Please attempt to use the same forum name on the other site for continuity.  Then, ask your further question on this thread until you actually start the MP protocol with taking Benicar.

I must forewarn you that I have experienced some depression while going through some of the Phases.   IMO, it is the L-forms at work on/in our brains.  So, be prepared, I would think.   I would not want to mis-lead you that it is all roses and wine.   It is just that the destination will be so sweet!!!!  :)

Enabling the innate immune system should take care of the strep, too.

I would pass on chelation until you see what the MP does for you.  And, please do not attempt to do them both at once.

Wishing you, and all, wellness!!!  :)

Dark Vader...aka, George

P.S. Mike, you might look into what Gina has posted at Gina's Compiled MP Folder   It might help to convince your med doc.

Hi Mike,

I have suffered from suicidal depression since I was a child. I now know the depression has everything to do with immunopathology/herx. I have seen great progress with the MP when I am not herxing. So now I know the depression has everything to do with the immune system and how it affects the body in the presence of a high Cell Wall Deficient Bacterial Load.

Like George said it is not all wine and roses but the progress is sweeter than any wine or any roses.

I also started to have some hypomania before prior to starting the MP. Some was medication induced.

I suggest doing what George explains. Read as much as you can on the MP site and get your Vit Ds tested.

In my opinion, if you can handle the herx ...which to me has been very controllable with adjusting meds and find my footing... then you are in the right place.

Let me know if I can help you any further.

Jeannine

Hi George,

Thanks for responding.  I have an appointment to see my doctor and he has a Quest lab station in his building so I will get the D tests done and see what they say.  I will post when I get them.  Thanks again.

That is wonderful Mike.

Be sure to kindly remind the Lab that the 125D needs to be frozen. I will wait in anticipation as to what your labs say!
