I am a member in Phase one with a friend interested in the MP. She is wondering is she does the Vita D testing now , and if the results indicate TH1 inflammation , and she doesn't start the MP until 6 months time, would she need to repeat these testings at that time before she launches into the protocol.   A financial concern I believe.

Thanks

Heather

Hi Heather,

If the tests were done now and indicated Th1 inflammation, there would be no need to repeat the (more expensive) 1,25-D test.  It would not be essential to repeat the 25-D either, but if she spends the six months cutting her intake of vitamin D, it would be very useful to see what reduction in 25-D level she achieved.  The 25-D level when starting the MP is a help to the medical moderators in advising how to proceed.

Please remind her that, while CWD bacteria are slow-growing, inflammation can surface quite suddenly in any organ, for example the heart.  It is not safe to assume that she will still be functioning as well in six months as she is now.
Anyone with a Th1 inflammatory disease may have cardiac (heart muscle) inflammation. The presence of inflammation may be known due to previous symptoms of heart irregularity (arrhythmia) and/or congestive heart failure (CHF) or it may be undetected (subclinical).
(taken from When should I be concerned about cardiac symptoms?)
