Wow what great read!  Thats exactly the info I needed after a couple of months of studying this.  Amazing.  Everytime I open one door there are so many more behind it.

I especially like the part that said    "We know the animal kingdom is actually a very small branch in the tree of life, dwarfed by the vastness of microbes."

That just makes so much more sense than the old school.

So I just checked the soap that I've been using for a couple weeks now and it's made with neem oil.  My skin seems to have been getting better lately and I know that any Exogenous Vitamin D is immunosuppressive.  It hides your symptoms.  So I checked it out.

Sure enough this neem oil stuff is loaded with Omega 3, 6,  and 9

Ugghhh!!

I ordered the CD's from http://autoimmunityresearch.org/dvd-requests.html and I have been watching them all weekend.  I have another Dr appointment tomorrow and a much better perspective than I had during my previous visits.  Theres a lot of stuff on the DVD about finding a doctor and I would recommend it if you haven't found the right doctor yet.

I wasn't really sure about how to deal with the doctors lack of awareness of Th1 inflammation.  To make matters worse I have been been inpatient and generally a pain in the ass.  I realize now this is the "Th1 brain" that they were talking about on the DVD - All people with Th1 have "Th1 brain".  I have to be calm and rational with the doctor and not come across as some raving maniac with another "internet cure".

I think that i've been slowly developing the Th1 for about 35 years so I really don't need to start freaking out and it's not going to help anyways.  After I was able to think objectively about the "Th1 Brain" information it really helped explain a lot of things...some of them are things I didn't want to admit - but they are true and it sure helps to be aware of them.

Mark,

I'm glad you're finding the DVDs a help.  You're becoming an expert self-educator!  Keep up the good work.

Just got back from the Docs
So I really made an effort to be cool and calm.  He asked me if I had been diagnosed with Sarc and I said that I was looking at sarc being a set of symptoms and Th1 inflammation as the cause.  I presented my D metabolites and asked the Doc if he was interested in working together with me on the MP.  I think this question and the way it was presented was what did it.

He said he would help me with the MP as long as there wasn't any completely off the wall drugs involved.  I gave him a set of DVD's so he could see for himself and I promised I would come back later with specific treatment options.  Now I allready know what I want but I didn't start demanding benicar and monocycline because I want to give him a little time and let the info I had given him sink in a bit.

The other things I noticed that seem to help are ...  The Doc mentioned that he has allready run into cases where monocycline seemed to help people with weird hard to understand autoimmune stuff going on although he wasn't sure why.  The other thing I noticed is that he found this MP stuff interesting.  I had appealed to his curiosity.

Anyways  - with my abrasive know it all attitude out of the way I had a whole new experience at the Docs today.  He actually said he was going to register at the MP - medical professionals section!!!   Hooray!!

So it looks as if you can find the right doctor and approach them the right way you can get help.   The DVD's really helped - and the doc was really happy to get his own copies - it gave some extra weight and credibility to my case.

Well I went back to the doc today.  He was all ready to write the prescription but then he said he couldn't find benicar or olmesartan in the computer.  He basically said you can't get that here.

So I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said the same thing.

Does anyone know if Benicar is available in Canada or are they just misinformed?

Thanks

Mark,

Sorry, we should have realised that this might be a problem :X.  Please see Where to purchase Benicar and scroll down to Canada.

Thanks for the quick reply Julia - I was a little freaked out after I called a bunch of Pharmacies and they were adamant that I had to go to the U.S. to get Benicar.

I don't know where they are getting their information from because the Pharmacy in Ottawa doesn't seem to have a problem getting it for me.

Thanks Again Julia
