Not exactly to Cynthia but for general knowledge
hello everybody
every of you will win!
Can be interesting for many
My wife has been diagnosed with Post Treatment Chronic Lyme Disease ( please be reffered to a http://www.curemyth1.org/forum2/2302.html)
Like I said there is no manufacture, no supply both of Minocycline and Benicar in Russia
The nearest countries we can buy these meds – Japan and China
China is skeptical
Any other countries – as well – russian customs do not allow any medicines in if not prescribed by Doctors (even there will be a lots of obstacles!).
That means– we are not allowed to order any medicines by internet shopping – everything will be seized and destroyed
So, being a Master Mariner, I bought both medicines in Germany/Hamburg and Spain/Torrevieja (south of Carthagena) and brought them home, slightly bending custom’s rules (could be seized at passing green corridor!)
Have to buy approximate 1.5 years stock
Be happy you are leaving in the less funny countries.
Prices:
Germany/Hamburg:
Benicar(Olmetec) 992 tablets @ 40 mg 942.57 euro
Minocycline 100 tablets @ 50 mg 32.18 euro
Spain/Torrevieja:
Benicar(Olmetec) 896 tablets @ 40 mg 1073.2 euro
Minocycline 72 tablets @ 100 mg 33.64 euro

Wow, Nina! Thanks for the reminder that the playing field isn't equal country to country. Good luck with continuing to get your meds. I love your ingenuity. Good for you!

Since my doc is giving me trouble lately (due to intimidation by MEDCO) and not wanting to write a script for more than 40mg/day, I started looking around. I found out there are LOTS of overseas online pharmacies where you can buy Benicar generic (Olmecip) WITHOUT a prescription.
The cheapest one I could find is http://www.unitedpharmacies.com (mentioned above by trevorharris) which comes in at $0.70 per 40mg tablet, which is close to the cheapest prescription-required Canadian sites. Here's a list sorted by price per 40mg tablet along with shipping charges per order to the U.S.:
Prescription-required sites:
http://www.canadageneric.com 180/$98.00 $0.54 ($9.99)
http://www.planetdrugsdirect.com 180/$102.00 $0.56 (free)
http://www.northwestpharmacy.com 180/$116.00 $0.64 (free)
No-prescription-required sites:
http://www.unitedpharmacies.com 200/$140.00 $0.70 ($7.50)
http://www.4040rx.com 500/$440.00 $0.88 (free)
http://www.aclepsa.com 90/$87.00 $0.97 ($16.50)
http://www.inhousepharmacy.com 90/$92.00 $1.02 (free)
http://www.healthychoicepharmacy.com 90/$93.16 $1.03 ($10.00)

Another source for benicar (olmecip) is http://www.canadageneric.com at $205.99 for a 3-month supply, including shipping. Same routine as planetdrugs. Order and pay. Doctor emails or faxes script tagged with your order#.
When I ordered from planetdrugs, the cost was $232, free shipping.
can order 2 x 180ct ($204) rather than 4 x 90ct ($232)
from sandiegojoy I just double checked my order and went online at PlanetDrugsDirect.com to be sure. You need to find the quantity of 180 tablets and then order x2 (for a final quantity of 360 tablets) and the price is $204.00. (If you order 90 tablets x 4 it does charge $232 like Caroldeleah said.) So be sure to order the 40 mg tablets x 2 X 180 tablets and quantity of 2 (which is 360 tablets total, a 3 mo. supply of 4 per day), and it's $202, and free shipping.
Sorry, one more correction. The full name of the website for ordering the Olmecip generic Benicar is PlanetDrugsDirect.com. I'm ordering now and just talked to them. They said to have the doctor write the Rx for 360 tablets, noting 3 mo. supply, take 1 4 x day, with however many refills on that, if the doc will do 3 refills it would last a year. So I'm hoping my doc will agree. If not, even one refill will make it a 6 mo. supply. They typically like you to order a 3 mo. supply on Rx's although I had an extra 90 left over on my last one and they shipped it OK.
Hester, you want the second drop down menu here:
http://www.planetdrugsdirect.com/Drugs/Benicar/5486/
The first drop down menu is for the brand Benicar from Sankyo, which not the generic and is way more money. The generic olmesartan, labeled Olmecip, is from India, and is shipped out of Germany or Switzerland, and is every bit as effective as the brand Benicar. You don't need the brand name product unless you have digestive problems requiring the enteric coating of the brand name Benicar. Cynthia

Was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with Olmetec
I was using the compounded Omesartan 20 & 40 mg with avicel filler from Yetvart Pharmacy for over a year.
Then I switched to getting the Olmesartan with the lactose filler and found I experienced more herxing, flu-like pain and achiness...My MP DR. said I could be getting a higher peak blood level with the lactose filler.
Then the pharmacy could no longer compound it, using the lactose filler (too much the same as the brand name Olmetec)...So I ordered the Olmetec and find that my sxs really increase after taking it..I get headaches, headpressure, more fatigue, flu-like pain & achiness.
Has anyone else noticed stronger reactions when taking the brand name OLMETEC in comparison to the compounded Olmesartan?
Lisa

I'm not replying to you comment but my brain fog is bad and any way I can figure
out how to navigate around is how it goes. I noticed that you have CF and fibro
and have been on the protocol for awhile. I'm trying to get feed back from a couple of people as to what pitfalls to avoid and seeing how you are progressing and what is a reasonable time to see improvements then plateaus and hopefully more improvement. I would appreciate a response when you have time.

Cali,
Phase 3 with dalacin-c (clindamycin) will start clearing the brain fog, but if you did phase 2 too
quickly it can hit you like a ton of bricks.

Can you also tell me what you felt like in the beginning and how you feel now that
you are in phase three. Thank-you in advance

I'm going back thru phase 2 ,witch i did to fast. You feel a little like the red face. Headache, gutache, Neckache, Muscle ache, a lot like a bad flu.I think the thing that supprised me the most was the emotional upset. I called up my sister and gave her a ticking-off for no reason , and cryed a lot till things levelled off. But I learned that you can help ease the pain with more benicar. Remember we have to suffer to get better. It is not life threating ,you will come right.

Hi,
What is Dalacin-C? This is the first I've heard of it and I don't see it anywhere
in the Phase 3 guidelines.
Thanks- Pamela H-F
Dalacin C is Clindamycin. can be googled. This Thread is about Generic Benicar.
Please start a new topic to discuss anything other than Generic Benicar.
Thank you, Admin

It sounds like there's no clear consensus about whether there's a difference between generic and brand name Benicar. Seems to vary on a case-by-case basis. Dr. Blaney, who is my doctor and has more patients on the protocol than any other doc, says the generic is okay and is rarely a problem.
I've been taking the brand name from Planet Drugs Direct but due to a prescription problem I will be taking the generic from United Pharmacies. If that works as well as the brand name, I think I will order the generic from Planet Drugs direct from now on since it is now $150 less than the brand name.
