Yesterday, November 21, my husband and I had a consultation with the doctor concerning the blood work drawn, diagnosis and the method of treatment.  I am not posting the D-metabolite result here.  Lyme is in the mix as well as a high ratio between the 25D and 125D.  The doctor wants to use a "modified MP" .  20mg every six hours is used and not 40mg every six.  The dosing with the mino is different starting at the full 50mg and ramping up to 200 mg. daily.  Dr. was insistant that she did not want to use the MP as prescribed.  I am saddened and by the "modified" and startled by the Lyme and all.  I am not alone.  I think I should present the case for the MP as is and request a change of method.  This is how the search for a doctor goes?  Suggestions!!!!!!!  I know the MP should not be modified.  The Benicar is a problem for this doctor.

As you progress to recovery there are going to be times when you will need to increase the Benicar dosing to 40mg every 4 hours, possibly with the addition of 20mg sublingual, in order to cope with a particularly bad bout of Immunopathology.

Any doctor who claims to understand the MP should understand this. I would be happy to chat with Doc and explain how the MP has been refined by both Science, and our experience with more than 1100 members who have passed through our study cohort. She can call me anytime.

I have since last posting had it made clear that the doctor that I saw on Nov 21, last friday, is not interested at all in following the MP to the letter.  She has, and I did not know this until yesterday,  been removed from the list of participating doctors.   I was going to try to make a case for following the MP as it is stated , but I think I might be spitting in the wind.  Back to the drawing board.
