Why is valium suggested and not clonopin?   My MP doc did not want to give me valium and instead he gave me the generic.  I don't think it works.  Can I use my Clonopin while doing MP?

Because the brand name Valium (usually) works, and has not proved addictive, when used in conjunction with the MP:)

I've been on Clonopin for 14 years.  I use half of 0.5 once or twice a day.  Will it interfere with MP?  This doc just did not want to give me Valium.  I told him it's what you use in MP, which I am sure he was aware of.

You will have trouble weaning, I fear. If it were me, I would get the Benicar 'blockade' in place first and then wean as if I was weaning a steroid:

We have a lot of accumulated knowledge in our FAQs which you will find useful.

If you look in the ABC of MP you will find these links, for example:

How can I control my anxiety and depression?

It is important to wean slowly from antidepressants

When and why should I use Valium?

How does stress affect Th1 inflammation?
