Hi MP,

I am having a hard time finding a place to ask a question. I hope I am in the right place. I have a cousin that probably has RA (her Mom died of it). She is having extreme bone pain and will be seeing a Rheumatologist. Her ANA result was
> 1:1024. What is actually happening at the cell level with the L-forms that causes the ANA to be elevated? Not everyone with Th1 disease would have a postive ANA, correct? I have Sarc with  a neg ANA. I have seen high ones in lupus, RA.

Thanks,

Brenda

Brenda, see if Antinuclear antibody tests (in the FAQ What do my lab tests mean?) answers your question.
