| I'm waiting for my meds etc to arrive and will be starting the program within a few weeks. My spousal unit has chemically induced asthma and back problem. We were wondering if she could do the protocol at the same time as I? We talked to our NP regarding her doing the protocol (just as information), and she felt that my spousal unit could be helped. However, we did not ask her about BOTH of us doing the protocol at the same time. Has anyone done this and is there a problem? I found an answer on the "Main" board, but it will not allow me to read the answer. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks. TTFN (Ta ta for now)

Hi Stuart,
We have quite a few husband-wife teams doing the MP together. It really depends how sick you are - if you're both very ill and dependent on each other's help for day-to-day living, the immunopathology can make you unable to cope. But if you're reasonably functional, I've heard it's actually a good idea, as you can do the diet and light restrictions together and support each other through the tough times.
Have your wife had her D-Metabolite tests done? This is the best way of knowing whether the MP will help her condition.

Hi there. My fella and I are on the treatment, as well as our three daughters. There are pros and cons to walking the path at the same time. One, you both understand what's going on and can support each other. It becomes a house of no judgement for how sick or how crabby a person is because you both experience it for yourself. We've learned a lot about tolerance and communication through our journey. It's been good.
On the other hand, it is hard when both of you have fatigue and chores, grocery shopping, cooking, yard work, etc needs doing. But with five of us on the MP, each body is unique, so our IPs and pace of feeling tired or crabby are often different from everyone else's.
I've read of people who all go on treatment but stagger when each starts so the healing expressions are not at the same time. But my fella is much healthier than I am, as is our oldest. Their journey has been much easier than with the two younger daughters and myself. So it hasn't mattered that all five of us began on exactly the same day. Every body is unique.
I say... go for it. And then use the journey to deepen your relationship through communication and mutual support. It's a win/win for both of you.
