I cannot find the original posts that I saw on window tint.  I saw one that suggested what  tint needed to be used and where to get it, but I also thought I saw a post from Dr. Marhsall and that we should not use it.  I have a problem area with a very large span of slider doors . Can we use tint and if so what brand and what %?

I realize not alone but I neglected to say that I have  Hunter Douglas Honeycomb Blinds which block out the sun and some light.

Sheila,

I have a 12' four panel slider in the great room overlooking the pool area.  The Hunter Douglas are not going to provide the coverage you'll need to be MP compliant on the light issue.  I ended up using the blackout material [purchased from JoAnn's Fabric].  I simply measured the glass area of the slider and added an inch to the measurement all around and had each panel cut individually.  I didn't want to get the yardage and then mess up the cut myself:X.  This way you can leave you pretty honeycombs up and they'll be visible inside your home and the blackout material will be facing out.  You can get the blackout in solid white, ecru, and some sort of grayish color.  Hope this info helps some.

Feel good and be blessed.

Hi Toni,

I thought about that but would like to be able to keep it open at night just so my husband would not feel closed in.  Also, on the weekends I could stay in the dark areas if he wanted to open up.  In any event it is an option but I am going on medication next week and will do something over the weekend.

Thanks for the input.
