Hi everyone!!!

I´d like to contact people being on the MP in UK, It is very difficult for me finding a doctor in my country (I´m from Barcelona-Spain). I´m looking for a doctor there prescribing the MP. I´ll be very, very grateful if someone can give me any advice on this, any adress or telephone number, ANYTHING!!!!;)

Thank you very much.....

Emma:)

Hi Emma,

I take it you tried the ones on the UK list you were sent?  There aren't many of us on the MP in the UK, because doctors here are very reluctant to prescribe the olmesartan (Benicar) at dosages higher than it's licensed for.

I get the MP on the NHS through my very open-minded GP.  But a GP can't take on patients outside his area.  Our advice to new UK members is just to try their own doctors, and then the ones on the list.  The one in Bolton does long distance prescribing, but I'm told he's expensive and busy.

I think you might do better trying to persuade a local doctor.  Suggestions To Get Your Doctor On Board With the MP.

Thank you very much Julia for your answer. This is being very hard for me, I feel that I´m loosing a precious time, because I´ve skin sarcoidosis and my face is starting to look deformed around my eyes, there aren´t doctors in Spain wanting to precribe the MP, and I know that if I´m in the initials of the disease it will be easier to get rid of these bumps in my body. I´ll go anywhere, UK, France, Germany...I don´t mind...I just want to get up one day and find out it was a nightmare......

Best regards,

Emma:(
