Is environmental illness considered a th1 inflamitory disease? For those of you who do not know the meaning of "environmental illness"....its when a person has an overexposure to a seemingley harmless chemical that most people would be able to tolerate...then the allergy type sensativity to that chemical becomes more widespread to other chemicals over time leading to the person becomming allergic to everything in ones environment.I think..but am not sure ..that gulf war illness is similar if not the same illness.
Again...is this considered a th1 inflamitory disease? Maybe we need Trevor to jump in on this one.
With the exception of some bacteria-based insecticides, environmental exposures cannot give you chronic inflammatory disease.
But once you have sub-clinical Th1 inflammatory disease, the symptoms are frequently exacerbated by exposure to irritants. Often this is referred to as "Multiple Chemical Sensitivity" (MCS).
MCS disappears as folk recover their health with the MP.
Many of those in the gulf war received multiple live vaccines, up to twelve at a time. The immune system, especially an immune system weakened by sunshine, cannot handle that.
The Dept of Defense has subsequently backed off the number being given, although it is still too high IMO.
