Thank you so much Cynthia & Knochen, I will make it that way! I'm not a good cook and wanted Larry to have a small treat for Thanksgiving.
Thanks again,
Mindy

Hello,
I hope it's ok to post this label for Da Vinci Simple Syrup if not please delete. I was wondering if this is ok to use for a homemade cranberry sauce for thanksgiving but I was not sure of the ingredients listed below. The main reason I ask is until a few days ago I didn't know Jello was pretty much a no no to eat and I don't want to make someting that will hinder my husbands healing.
The Cranberry sauce is Sugar Free that is made from
1 bag fresh cranberries
Sugar Substitute equal to 1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the sugar it states I can use 1 cup liquid sweetner instead of water. Goodness if only I watched my Mom cook and bake things would be easier for me!!
Thanks,
Mindy

I'm so sorry I didn't realize the label would spread out like that. I don't know who to fix it to where it's much smaller in size.

I love cranberry sauce with chicken and turkey, and use it all year long. Since I am a very low carb person, I adapted the recipe on the berry bag to use splenda. Unfortunately, the only place to find fresh/frozen cranberries out of season is in a healthfood store at a very high price, so will be stocking up the freezer during the closeouts after Thanksgiving.
Spiced Cranberry Sauce: to one pound berries add
1/2 t cloves
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t allspice
24 packets of Splenda
I prefer the packets of splenda because I believe there is less filler, but not sure about that. I had to guess on the levels of spice since it called for whole cinnamon sticks and cloves. Can't be bothered with that kind of extra effort. So, you might want to taste test while adding the spice. I cover the berries with water and boil for awhile. If it doesn't gel well, I usually don't care, and I let the texture be what ever it turns out like.

I'm not a good cook never really tired but I need to learn so I can help Larry get better, I have been on the computer all evening looking for low carb things for him to eat daily. Well again thank you for sharing.

| Is it ok to cook with wines? dry wine, red wine you know the stuff you get at Walmart? Also what others oils the solid kinds can we use that is MP safe. Veg oil has soybeans in it both solid and liquid. The cooking sprays are that way to and some times I need to use these things and don't know what kind of damage I'm causing my husband when I use them, hopefully it's a very little amount he's getting but I'm sure on MP even the smallest amount could hurt.
