The only way I have found to control my leg and feet cramps is to take what is called Bone Up. It is a calcium with other things in it and one of those things is D. I can not afford to go on the MP plan. But I am willing to eliminate all D sources from my body. Any one have suggestions, I can suffer 6 out of 7 nights for hours at a time. I have tried everything else that I can think of or read or heard, need help please.

What you're asking is a bit like, "I know I'm drowning, but how can I keep myself dry as I go under the water?"

Most or all of us here have had leg cramps, they're a common sign of Th1 disease, especially sarcoidosis; the only way to get better is with the MP.  Maybe you should reflect that you can't afford not to do it?  Without it you'll just slowly deteriorate, and cramp might be the least of your worries :(

Having said that, it's your life, so here are a few tips that might help to make your nights more comfortable.  Each has been reported by some members to have helped them (that is, before the MP dealt with them properly).

Avoid daylight.
Avoid vitamin D (but see Should I avoid light & vit D before starting MP?)
Avoid coffee and tea, especially in the evening.
Avoid salicylates, especially in the evening.
Try a magnesium supplement (without D).
Get doc to give you quinine.

I would like to know what it is about sarcoidosis that causes the legs to cramp?  Does this mean that granulmoas are being laid down in the legs or is it something else?  Is it the same for feet?
