Hey , this is MOPUR from india--- a medical doc by profession.i am really delighted to write my first mail in this forum .
coming across the MP protocol accidentally , i think GOD has answered my long awaited prayer in this form . i thank all those who are behind this.now i,m on TAB-BENICAR--40MG---T.I.D and TAB-MINOCYCLINE--100MG-EVERY48hrs.its been a month i,m on to this regimen.i feel better , but the only thing that is bothering me is my cutaneous lesions on my chest ---started as maculo papulous a year ago and now they are big numerous and itchy sometimes.plaque--lesions to say clearly.Please kindly provide me the info regarding this so that i can start immediately.

Exacerbation of skin symptoms is a common form of immunopathology in sarc patients on the MP. See I've developed a rash. What should I do?
When you say you're on 100mg minocycline q48hrs, have you ramped up to this dose from a starting dose of 25mg as per the Phase 1 guidelines?

THIS IS MOPUR , WELL I ,LL CHALK OUT A BRIEF OUTLINE OF MY TREATMENT THROUGH WHICH I,M GOING.
IT ALL STARTED AFTER I ACCIDENTALLY STUMBLED OVER YOUR SITE.BY THAT TIME ITS ALREADY TWO YEARS I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH SARCOIDOSI.NOW I,M 32 YRS OF AGE .UNTIL I HAVE COME ACROSS THIS SITE, I WAS ON PREDNISOLONE 40 MG.INITIALLY IT WAS A SMOOTH SAILING WITH THESE DRUGS FOR ME , BUT AS SOON AS THE SHIELD OF STEROIDS IS TAKEN AWAY I FELT THE REAL BRUNT OF IT .ALL MY SARCOID FEATURES EXPLODED WITH MUCH MORE INTENSITY.IWENT FOR SOME TRADITIONAL MEDICINES TOO BUT OF NO POSITIVE OUTCOME.JUST IMAGINE THE PICTURE -- IWAS 75KGS BEFORE STEROID , AND AFTER THAT OVER A PERIOD OF NEARLY ONE AND HALF YEAR I WAS WEIGHING AROUND 90 KGS WITH STEROIDS ON.I WAS GASPING EVERY NOW AND THEN AND EXERTION ON ANY SORT OF MINIMUM PHYSICAL WORK . BUT IN THE MONTH OF MARCH ,,DUE TO DEVOLOPMENT OF HYDROCELE [ACCUMILATION OF FLUID IN THE SCROTUM] I SWITHCHED OVER TO A 2 WEEK PERIOD OF PREDNISOLONE 40 MG AND AFTER THAT I SLOWLY STEPPED DOWN IN THE STEROID DOSAGE.

I DR MOPUR , A SARCOID PATIENT, SINCE 4 YEARS , ON MP --PROTOCOL AT PRESENT .
I DO HAVE A RIGHTSIDED SCROTAL SWELLING AND IT IS TERMED AS HYDROCELE--- WITH CHRONIC EPIDIDYMITIS FOR WHICH I,M NOW INFERTILE WITH NO CHILDREN.SPECIALISTS HERE IN INDIA HAVE SAID THAT I HAVE TO GO FOR SUGERY AS THERE IS OBSTRUCTION IN THE VAS EFFERENS AND THE OPERATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE SUCCESS.
CAN ANYBODY ON THIS SITE HELP ME TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM.

The first research I did back in the late 1970s was treatment of male and female infertility. You can find some of our group's papers listed at http://TrevorMarshall.com/gnrh.htm
You will find fertility will return as your steroid hormones return to balance due to the action of the MP. Obviously, any physical obstruction due to inflammation will gradually disappear as the tissue regenerates, but also the hormonal imbalance must be addressed too. This is all part of the healing process during the later phases of the protocol.
