Hi everyone, after posting my lab results which were inconclusive I am going to try a TP to see what the outcome is.
TBH I feel a bit of a fraud and hypocondriac considering the severity of illnes most of the unfortunate people on the forum appear to suffer from, thankfully Im not sarco and dont have any unbearable pains etc but I am incredibly tired constantly.
I actually wake up every morning feeling much worse than when I went to bed the night before and thats after a good 8 or more hours, I cant go to the gym for the last 4 years because Im just totally knackerd before I even start and I suffer from headaches both light and severe at varying parts of my head at least twice a week and the last week had a headache for three days believe it or not.
If I go out to a shopping mall, half an hour and my legs feel like concrete and ache like crazy, I dont have pain as such but I seem to be constantly stiff and aching. I seem to go thruogh a wierd cycle every couple of weeks where for two or three days I feel rotten/nausyous headache and the other symptoms I explained then pick up to a reasonable level except for the fatigue. Ive had every test known to the med profession I think and all come back ok as far as the Docs are concerned.
The other strange thing is that I seem to have become really intolerant to alcohol, I was never a big or regular drinker but now even a single beer or glass of wine leaves me with a severe hangover the next day
Anyway I live and work in the U.A.E so its not possible to get the meds here so hopefully this week they arrive from inhousepharmacy.com and I can start the TP.
It might sound wierd but I really hope that I have a good ( Hard )Herx reaction to at least proove to me that Im infected and can do something about it with the MP, BTW my doctor is supporting me all the way and is very keen and interested on the result as he has a close freind whos suffering from CFS/ME and wants to get him on the MP also if hes willing. I will keep you informed of my progress results and good luck and good health to all of you

same, Tony, other family members have worse; mine purely fatigue, varied headaches that drop in & out of my life, odd seemingly unconnected small problems, lab anomaly; ordering my10%NoIRs this week, have planned use of small bedroom & large kitchen (both have dimmers on incandescent bulbs); am about to cut a long stretch of black fabric as canopy where connecting hall has skylights! One of the advocates suggested candle light to use bathroom...lovely; changed my diet etc. & all the recommended reading on the 3 linked sites is honing my computer skills; by the time my MP aware doc. is back in town I'll be ready for anything.
there's a lot of us out there. Love the way people talk about looking forward to their herxes Sallie (new also)

Welcome Tonyice.
You know, I was sure I wasn't as sick as those on the study site before I got going on the MP. Bacteria seem to be one of the world's most effective equalizers (wink). Your lengthy list of symptoms suggest you might be doing what most of us do, compromising a little here and there as we get painted into a bacterial corner without realizing how much the illness has robbed us of life.
All I can say is welcome, good you are ready to respond! Since the support system in your country is not well defined as some other places, it is important to hear your doctor is willing to support you. Good for you! Please point your physician in this direction:

I also recommend you frequently read Amy Proal's http://www.Bacteriality.com site. A good place to start is her recent presentation in vimeo (movie) format. Here is Amy's description and the link:
"In the following video, I explain the science that forms the backbone of the Marshall Protocol in simple terms. I discuss the bacteria implicated in causing chronic inflammatory disease, and explain how these pathogens affect the immune system. I also describe the basics of the treatment itself, providing information that any patient who plans to start the Marshall Protocol, or any doctor planning to put a patient on the MP, should understand. My narration is accompanied by slides with pictures and images of the pathogens and molecules I discuss. The video is 89 minutes."

Info on my TP, I started on Benicar for two weeks 4 x 40mg a day and I felt no different either posative or negative, at the beginning of week three started the mino at 25mg every other day after four days I still had no effects either pos or neg, my fatigue was more or less the same as far as I could figure out, no additional symptoms , I ramped up to 50 mg every other day and the only thing I have is what might be termed as mild cold symtoms and have developed a cough again. I have had no herx effect as others describe, no light sensativity and no increase/decrease in symptoms that i was experiencing before.
Is the cold I have a natural cold or is it a herx effect? I ask because I dont feel like I have caught a cold, it appears to come and go ( spasmodic) and is only very very mild whereas normally when I catch a cold it builds up to a peak and then eventually fades away as Im sure is the same with most other people .
Any advice and comments would be helpfull, it looks like Im not infected with the bacteria otherwise I would have thought Id have had some other hard evidence, ah yeah I got a nasty spot ( only one) on the side of my head but nothing I would have blamed on herx really.

Tony, your probe result is certainly a bit disappointing, as your symptoms clearly appear to point to Th1. But the 'cold' does sound familiar - I often got herx 'colds'. Are you avoiding daylight and vitamin D?
If I were you, I would continue the probe a bit longer, if doc agrees.

Im not taking supplements and dont eat fish etc anyway, trying to avoid eggs/dairy as much as I can. I work indoors all day and dont go out into the sun anyway at weekends even though I live in the UAE ( Sun gets boring after a couple of years living here)
I have stopped Benicar/ Mino to see what happens to my "cold" cough etc, if it dissapears as mysteriosly as it came I think I can assume it may be herx reaction so will try a TP again, my doc is in full agreement

Tony,
I had a cold/cough as soon as I started as well... but it didn't feel like a normal cold.
...trying to avoid eggs/dairy as much as I can
Egg yolks have to be avoided all together, and if the dairy is fortified with vitamin D it also has to be avoided all together.
Take care & best of luck..

Tonyice,
Not everybody is infected by every bug. I was hit hard by every new antibiotic, and each new combination. Other folks breezed through some of these.
Your D results weren't that dramatic, and you don't have that wide a range of symptoms, which suggests that it might not be quick to find a hard-hitting combination. But that's only a guess on my part.
Don't give up too easily on the MP. Not being that sick (your note about fraud) might mean you have to wait longer for the therapeutic probe to work, but it probably also means a quicker cure.
Chris
