I seem to have or have or had some of the symptoms of this for the past 2 years particularily after gallbladder surgery. 4.5 years ago I had a severe yeast infecton on my face and have been unable eat yeast and therefore sugar products but in very limited quanities. My labs came back as vit D 25  Oh 30 and my Vit D3 1,25 at 58. However I have a high B12 count (1027) and folate count (.24) This is the secondtime it has been high it was high last December in my urine it was 1470 then.  All my other bloodwork has normalized At one time my white count was slighly elevated (12.9) but has normalized for the past several months. At one time in April my Neutrophils were 9998.

Marlene

Since there was no way to do this on the following link and not press new topic I have posted it here in the same thread I Pray this is what you wanted. Could not find any other way.

There is a special forum for posting test results. You can find it by clicking on this link:
http://curemyth1.org/forum5/

In order to help the study site nurse moderators interpret your D-Metabolites tests, please post the following information with your test results in your current questions thread (do not start a new topic):

Briefly
list your diagnosis or symptoms. (around 2 lines at the most).

Fatique/ palpitations/anxiety, pain in hip, back, left leg.concentration &memory problems. Burning eyes and left side ear & face. sinususitis, Insomnia

-The date the blood was drawn
08/08/08
-Which lab did the tests?
MPL
-Was the 1,25-D sample was frozen for shipment?
no
-How long have you been avoiding foods with vitamin D in them?
Was Not
-How long have you been avoiding sun/lights?
Only sunglasses outside light sensitive outside and at computer
-List all meds, supplements (both prescription and OTC) you have been taking and why. No supplements one week before these labs but ear fish 5 days a wk.:?

Garlic=1800 yeast & cholesterol

Fish oil=3000 Cholesterol

Calcium=1660 plus vit d 1400 (includes amount in multi (Dr. Just added another 1000 with lab results)

Protein drink Muscles have not been able to exercise for 18 months

Glucosamine 1500/Chrondoroitin 1200 Joints

Quercetin 1800 mg Put on this for inflammation could not take cox 2 or steroids

Magnesium 500mg leg cramps

Hallelujah farms Barley Mx, Carrot  and beet. for veg supplimentation.

-When and for how long have you taken prednisone or any other immunosuppressant in any form?

-When and for how long did you take Vitamin D supplements (including any vitamin-mineral supplements), omega-3 supplements and/or any kind of fish oil?
Daily for about 6 years
-Were you taking Benicar when the sample was drawn?
no
-Were you taking an
ARB or or an ACE inhibitor when the sample was drawn?

no
- Please add the required signature line

When we analyze the results, we take all of the above into account.

Include the measurements for both tests, 1,25D & 25D, noting either ng/ml and pg/ml or the metric equivalent; nmol or pmol.* (ug/l = ng/ml)

Do not accept the term "normal range" for the results, we need the actual numbers.

It is helpful if you convert metric measurements to pg/ml and ng/ml.

Marlene,

Your 1,25-D is elevated at 58pg/ml (the population average is 25-29 pg/ml). It is 3.05 sigma high and based on population studies,  99.90% of the population would be expected to have a lower number. If you are actually still getting steroid shots this number would have been much higher.

Your 1,25-D is above the maximum of 45pg/ml listed in the Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy (15 Oct 2006 online). At levels above about 42 pg/ml, the 1,25-D (generated by the Th1 inflammation) begins to stimulate bone osteoclasts,  causing bone to be resorbed (dissolved) back into the bloodstream. Not only does this lead to osteoporosis, but also to calcium being deposited into soft tissue of the body, including the lungs, breasts, and the kidneys (where it forms kidney stones). Please see Osteoporosis, osteopenia and Th1 illness.
Your level of elevation suggests inflammation in major organs such as the heart, liver and lungs.
When should I be concerned about cardiac symptoms?

Your 25-D of 30ng/ml is high and reflects your reported vitamin D supplementation. Because 25-D is immunosuppressive, you need to avoid ALL sources of Vitamin D to get it down to a therapeutic level of 12ng/ml or less. Please see Foods To Avoid and The importance of avoiding vitamin D.
I would have expected your 25-D to be even higher given the length of time you supplemented, but the high 1,25-D is apt to be down regulating it and you have plenty of D3 and/or D2 stored in fat tissues.

"The 25-D seems to be the most critical factor as to whether the immune system is able to start working. Any level of 25-D above about 20ng/ml is likely to be acting as an immunosuppressant, with an action very similar to that of corticosteroids." Dr. Trevor Marshall, Ph.D.
Your D-tests, diagnosis and symptoms indicate Th1 inflammation. Please see Symptoms of Hypervitaminosis-D and you may recognize a few more. You will not get well and your health will continue to deteriorate if you don't treat the underlying bacterial cause of Th1 inflammation with the MP. Please see Is the MP an applicable treatment for my disease?

Most supplements and many medications must be avoided on the MP. As you know the fish oil, D , oregano and garlic are not permitted. Also glucosamine may be a food substrate for CWD froms. Many of other supplements are suspect.

Our clinical study is temporarily closed to enrollment. As vacancies occur, we will admit subjects based on an application. To obtain an application forum, please send an email to marshallprotocol2@yahoo.com  with 'request MP application' in the subject line.

Best, P.B.

I have been tested with numreous bone scans and all were ok. Including one where there put radioactive dye in me and did it from head to toe. My c reactive protein (0.2mg/dl) and other inflamation markers have always been ok. Should I still be concerned about my heart? I have had tests on the necks arteries and leg arteries and both were clear. I am scheduled to go to a Hemotologist due to the high b12 next friday. I am having trouble getting a Dr. One said there was alot of papers to be filed in order to get insurance to approve MP. With just labs and prescriptions this was confusing for me.

Thanks
