You do not have to register to view messages on this board but you must register to post.
To register:
- Click on the 'Register' button at the top of the page
- Select and enter a username-this is the name which will appear next to each of your posts
- Do not put a comma in the username.
-You may use the identity before the @ in your email address as your username but do not include your entire email address.
-Usernames should not be commercial in nature. A username deemed unsuitable for any reason will be changed and the member notified of the change by email.
-You must provide an email address for communication with board management. You have the option to hide your email address from other members.
- Select a password and enter it twice in the fields provided.
- You will receive a confirmation of registration email that contains a special URL that you need to click to activate your account. If your email account has a spam blocker, make sure it will permit you to receive messages from this board. AOL Members (especailly if you've recently upgraded to 9.0): Turn off any filters which might prevent you from receiving the confirmation email which the filters regard as spam.
If you do not receive the email registration confirmation message to activate your account, then one of two things has occurred:
(1) The activation message has been diverted to a spam folder; or
(2) You entered your email address incorrectly when you registered.
If you do not find the registration confirmation message in your spam folder, you have 2 options:
(1) Re-register using a different screen name; or
(2) Send an email or private message to a Moderator with the screen name you have used to register. In 48 hours, the failed attempt will be deleted and you will be able to re-register using the same screen name.
To register 2 users on the same computer. The first User will have to logout before the register button can be seen at the top of the screen to register the second user.
If you are having difficulties
If you have any problems with the board, such as you are unable to login or logout or other problems that appear to be hiccups (as opposed to user error), try deleting cookies and Internet files and then clicking the refresh button on your browser.
If you are not familiar with how to do this, in Internet Explorer, start by clicking on "Tools" as follows:
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Cookies > OK
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files > OK
Click the "refresh" button of your browser
The software is optimized for use with Internet Explorer Version 5.5 and higher. It does work with other browsers (i.e., AOL, Netscape) but you may experience intermittent problems. If you have one of these other browsers, it is recommended that you minimize them and use Internet Explorer.
